Exploring Colledimezzo: A Beautiful Medieval Commune in Abruzzo, Italy

Abruzzo has plenty of beautiful places to offer to visitors. The region is home to many medieval towns that can make you feel like you have travelled back in time. One of these destinations is Colledimezzo, a town and commune in the province of Chieti. It sits on a rocky outcrop overlooking Val di Sangro. If it is your first time in Abruzzo, be sure to include this lovely medieval town in your itinerary as it is a must-see place that has some remarkable attractions to show. Colledimezzo can be a good option for a day trip if you are coming from Abruzzo. If you have your own car, you should be able to reach it in about two hours’ drive. When you get there, be sure to explore attractions like the Chiesa di San Rocco, Belvedere II Colle, and Castelle D’Avalos. One of the top attractions in Colledimezzo is the Church of St. Giovanni Apostolo from the 18 th century. It features Carlo Piazzoli’s stucco decorations, and Donato Teodoro’s paintings and frescoes. Be sure not to
